The great Egret, (Ardea alba), is a large heron with all-white plumage, standing up to 1 m. Apart from size, the great egret can be distinguished by its yellow bill and black legs and feet, though the bill may become darker and the lower legs lighter in the breeding season. It lays from 2 to 5 eggs, pale blue. Juveniles move away from the nest after about three weeks and fly after about 6 weeks old.
