GABBIANO CORSO - GILIA FOR ALL - Park of Santa Gilla

Go to content
The Audouin's gull (Ichthyaetus audouinii) is distinguished from the yellow-legged Gull by the coral red bill with a black and yellow tip, and dark olive-green legs. The smaller size makes them more deft in flight. The adults are white, except for the back which is pearl grey coloured, the black wings tips and the black tail. It hunts fresh fish, especially at sunset, dipping the head and neck in order to capture it.
