The common shelduck (Tadorna tadorna) has head and neck with a shiny dark-green hue, two large black spots on the back, the centre of the back, the wing-coverts, part of the chest, sides of the body are of a dazzling white; while the centre of the chest and belly are black-grey. The Shelduck has the eyes of dark walnut-brown colour, carmine-red beak and foot flesh colour.
