The Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) is mainly grey and white plumaged, with red beak and red feet. The species is strongly migratory, from Artic to the Antarctic coast. These are by far the longest migrations known in the animal kingdom. The length of its migrations, make during an average life of 29 years, is equal to travel from the earth to the moon six times.
